Getting started
- Create a free account. You get five credits every day.
- Open the Strategy studio and start a new strategy.
- Describe your idea in the chat. QuantX writes the Pine Script, shows it on the chart and runs a backtest.
- Refine it in the same conversation until you are happy, then copy the code into TradingView.
Writing a strategy
The more specific you are, the better the code. Include:
- The market and timeframe, for example NQ futures on 5-minute candles.
- Entry rules: what has to happen before you buy or sell.
- Exit rules: stop loss, take profit, or time-based exits.
- The session you trade, for example 9:30 to 11:30 New York time.
Ask to "teach me" or "walk me through" anything to get a visual explanation instead of code.
Backtests
Backtests use real historical candles and aim for 50 to 150 trades so results are meaningful. If a strategy takes fewer than 50 trades, QuantX warns you and suggests how to loosen the rules. Times follow New York exchange time. Results never include invented fills.
Reports
Every backtest includes a P&L calendar by real trade date (Sunday to Saturday, green for profit, red for loss), an equity curve, drawdown, win rate, expectancy and a full list of trades. Download the report as a PDF from the Backtest tab.
Assess a strategy
Already have results? Upload backtest screenshots, PDFs or papers and QuantX builds an interactive performance report with an objective grade.
